Measurement (Week 8) 2/18 - 2/22

We are now on our last topic of the year, measurement. This domain includes: money, time, weight and mass, capacity, length, perimeter, area, angles, and line plots. Students should know the following information.

Money:

• Identify and count money
• Add/Subtract/Multiply/Divide using money

Time:

• 1 hour = 60 min
• 1/2 hour = 30 min
• 1/4 hour = 15 min

 Weight and Mass / Capacity / Length:

• Customary System
• 1 lb = 16 oz
• 1 cup = 8 oz
• 1 pint = 2 cups
• 1 quart = 2 pints
• 1 gal = 4 quarts
• 1 gal = 8 pints
• 1 gal = 16 cups 

• Metric System
• 1 meter = 100 centemeters
• 1 meter = 1,000 millimeters
• 1 cm = 10 mm
• 1 km = 1,000 meters
• 1 kg  = 1,000 grams
• 1 liter = 1,000 ml

Area = Length x Width

Perimeter = Add all sides
