Homework: 2/2 - 2/ 6

We are still working on measurements. Students should be able to identify which unit would be best suited to weigh various objects. For example, ounces would be the best unit to weight a deck of cards. Students should know which units belong to the customary system and which ones belong to the metric system.

Homework:
  • Monday - Create a conversion chart for customary units. Students will create a table that has all the units of measurement from the customary system (in, ft, yd, mi, oz, lbs, T). Students will then create a conversion chart for these units (1 ft = 12 in.)
  • Tuesday - Create a conversion chart for metric units. (mm, cm, m, km, mg, g, kg)
  • Wednesday - pg 351 #1 - 15
  • Thursday - pg 350 #All ?'s & write 1 paragraph about why most of the world uses the metric system?
  • Friday - None
