We are working on rounding this week. While reviewing for the test, I noticed that several students couldn't properly subtract numbers when regrouping was involved. I will discuss this in class, but this should be understood from 2nd and 3rd grade. Please have students practice their math facts every day. If they are watching TV, stop them and have them study their facts. I've included some websites to aid in this task.
Homework- Monday: wb9 #5-14
- Tuesday: wb10 #1-6 & #17-20
- Wednesday: wb12 #1-6
- Thursday: wb15 #1-10
- Friday: none
- Extra Credit: Pick 9 11-digit numbers that include decimals (ex 123,456,789.01) and round these 10 numbers to the ones, tens, hundreds, one-thousands, ten-thousands, hundred-thousands, one-millions, ten-millions, hundred-millions place respectively.
